Multi-Level-Modeling and Language Engineering with the XModeler

Ulrich Frank, Jens Gulden

The tutorial is aimed at introducing the fundamentals of multi-level modeling for language engineering, and showcase its application with the research prototype tool XModeler. The XModeler is an integrated (meta) modeling and (meta) programming environment that enables a paradigm shift in conceptual modeling and in software development. Participants will be given the opportunity to work with the tool by solving example tasks. Prerequisite for actively participating are fundamental experiences with traditional modeling techniques such as UML class-diagrams, and the use of model diagram editors
